After years of development and providing video streaming capability to DHS tactical units, Serastar Technologies, Corporation is excited to offer the first ever secure, back pack portable “Swiss Army Knife” of Global Video Routing, Recording and Distribution System (STARS) and SMR-500 radio, the best price to performance Mobile Military Grade Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) Radios in the world today.
The Surveillance Target Acquisition Recon System (STARS) is the world’s first, patented, man portable solution that allows users to stream/record secure video from remote locations to the globe in real time. The STARS system simultaneously and redundantly sends video globally from any video source via 2G/3G/4G, MANET Radios, Harris RadioÔ, SATCOM, and Wi-Fi up to 128 users. The video sent from Back-End Server to an Android device, tablet or laptop using applications such as, Android Tactical Assault Kit (A.T.A.K), Secure Log-In, VLC, Vivotek or similar software is FIPS-140-2 AES 256 bit encrypted. The STARS system records up to 6 hours on station.
The SMR-500 sets new standards in price to performance of a MANET radio of this caliber. A few salient features include dual channel RF with selectable bands from 700MHz through 5.4GHz, selectable power output from 600mW to 2W, GPS enabled, USB – Ethernet – RS232 interfaces, up to 27MBPS multicast, Push To Talk (PTT). In a systems solution these radios “talk” to each other 100 times per second, each radio observing the signal strength and wave form from other radios in the “mesh”. The radios will reroute or distribute the signal so that each user has an optimized signal. Each SMR-500 radio is its own “router”. Competitive radios sell at twice the price.
